She is a Senior AME and performs all classes of exams including class 1, 2 and 3. Dr Dykema is a pilot herself with an instrument and commercial rating and over 1600 hours of logged PIC time. Her discounted fee for regular class 1, 2 and 3 flight exams is $90. If an EKG is required, the fee is $180. EKGs are required only for class 1 exams once at age 35 and yearly at age 40. At the time of your exam, you will receive your certificate if you meet the medical standards and do not have a history of serious medical problems. It is Dr Dykema’s policy to defer special issuance pilots with serious medical problems such as diabetes and heart disease to the FAA for their review.
