Billing Policy
Payment at the time of service is our office policy. We do not make exceptions. If we have billed your insurance company, any claims that are not paid by your insurance company within 90 days become the responsibility of the patient to pay immediately and in full. It is also our policy that the patient is responsible for providing our office with any changes in insurance companies, insurance billing addresses or patient name or mailing address changes. It is our procedure to bill your insurance company, based on the information you provided to us, on the date of your visit, and again 30 days later. If you have received a bill from our office, we have either billed your insurance company twice and received no response, or we have received a response from your insurance company stating that the amount owed is the patient responsibility. Once you have received a bill from us, it is your responsibility to make payment in full immediately to our office and seek reimbursement from your insurance company. If you have not provided us with your latest insurance information, we can correct that information and rebill, however most insurance companies will not accept or pay claims that have not been billed within 60 days of the date of service. If we receive an overpayment on your account after you have paid, you can request a refund by leaving a message and we will issue your refund check within 7 days of your request. The overpayment from your insurance company must have been received by our office before we can issue a refund to you. If you would like to leave a message regarding any simple billing questions regarding Your account, we will respond within 48 hours. However, if your billing issue is complex or you are emotionally charged about your issue, we are not able to handle your billing issue over the phone and require that you submit a detailed description of your billing issue in writing to our office.
